Photos: Crane Falls on Canterbury Woods

Canterbury Woods Elementary School students ate lunch in their classrooms today after a small crane fell onto the roof of the school's kitchen.

The school released a statement Tuesday afternoon saying the small construction lift turned over and hit the outside of the building near the school's kitchen before classes began.

There were no injuries.

Fairfax County Fire Department and school security officials responded to investigate, and determined there was no structural damage to the school’s kitchen.  

Minor repairs are being made to the kitchen today, according to the school's statement. The cafeteria will be reopened for use tomorrow morning.

The school is in the midst of a renovation, schools spokesman John Torre told Patch.
