Power Restored to More Than 200 Saturday in Annandale
High winds could be culprit of power outage that hit thousands of homes across Northern Virginia Saturday.

ANNANDALE, VA -- More than 200 homes were without power Saturday in Annandale, according to a Dominion outage map. The map showed a total of 251 homes without power in Annandale, near Medford Drive and Little River Turnpike. Power was restored to all of the Annandale homes.
Northern Virginia was under a Wind Advisory Saturday with possible wind gusts of up to 45 to 50 MPH. Dominion said the cause of the power outage was under investigation.
In all there were more than 5,000 homes or businesses without power Saturday afternoon in Northern Virginia, according to Dominion. Other areas without power Saturday include Great Falls, Pimmit Hills in the Falls Church area, a portion of Seven Corners and a neighborhood near the Pentagon.
