This proposal should not be left just to some business owners but to ALL the residents of Annandale.

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors is considering honorarily renaming a portion of Little River Turnpike, an historic highway which was granted a charter by the General Assembly in 1796. Little River has been an integral part of Annandale’s 340-year history from the time it was a buffalo trail, to colonial turnpike, to today's highway. The change, if approved, would include the portion from Evergreen Lane to Hummer Road.

This proposal was presented by Steve Lee, president of the Korean American Association to honor the Korean American Business Community. Our Mason District Supervisor Jimenez is very interested to learn the opinion of as many Annandale residents and businesses before making a decision to recommend or not recommend this proposal.

Although the Korean American Business Community operates many business in this corridor, an
equal or greater number of non-Korean businesses, organizations and residents from many cultural heritages also operate in this corridor. Significant signage would be installed and paid for by the Korean American Association. There are other ways to honor cultural groups in
our community; this is just not the way.
