Winning Powerball Ticket Sold in Virginia

Update 10:25 a.m. - The winning Powerball jackpot ticket was sold at a self-service kiosk in Richmond, according to Virginia Lottery officials.
Sadly, there were no $1 million winners from Virginia.
Check your tickets, anyway! You may have won $4 (which would pay for today's latte) or $100,000 (which could pay off your student loans and then some) — or some nice amount in between.

The next drawing's jackpot is $40 million right now, but it will grow with ticket sales over the next several days.

The Powerball jackpot grew to $217 million Wednesday night before someone won—and that person bought the winning Powerball ticket in Virginia.
Lottery officials have not released information on where in Virginia the winning ticket was purchased.
The winning numbers for the Wednesday, Feb. 6 Powerball drawing were: 5, 27, 36, 38, 41 and the Powerball was 12.
Close to 25,700 other people in Virginia won anywhere from $4 to $1 million.
Until Wednesday night, no one had ever won the big jackpot with a ticket purchased in Virginia.
Several people have won $1 million buying Powerball tickets in Falls Church, Arlington and elsewhere in 2012.
A McLean man won $107 million with a Virginia Lottery ticket purchased in Herndon in 2011.
