2 Men Charged With Halloween Night Robbery Spree In Arlington: Police
Two men were arrested Monday night in connection with a series of robberies and thefts in Crystal City, Arlington police said.
ARLINGTON, VA — Two men were arrested Monday night in connection with a series of robberies and assaults in Crystal City, according to the Arlington County Police Department.
Tyrail Leonard, 25, of Washington, D.C., was arrested and charged with attempted grand larceny of a motor vehicle and eight counts of robbery. Delante Williams, 34, of Hyattsville, Maryland was arrested and charged with attempted grand larceny of a motor vehicle, three counts of robbery and two counts of credit card theft.
Shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Arlington County Police said they started receiving reports of robberies by force and assaults near one another in the 2800 block of S. Potomac Ave. in Crystal City. A lookout for the two suspects was broadcast, and officers found the men in the area of S. Clark Street and 35th Street S. and took them into custody without incident, police said.

In their investigation, police learned that the suspects approached victims, demanded their personal property and stole items, including a cell phone, purse and credit cards.
Additionally, two cell phones were stolen from parked, unlocked vehicles in the 800 block of 23rd Street S. and the suspects attempted to enter a parked, occupied vehicle in the 700 block of 23rd Street S., police said.

Both men remain in custody in the Arlington County Detention Facility, police said.
