Suspects In Arlington Carjacking Who Knocked Victims To The Ground Arrested By DC Police

Two men were arrested by D.C. police in connection with a carjacking that occurred Friday night in Crystal City, Arlington police said.

ARLINGTON, VA — Two men were arrested in Washington, D.C., in connection with a carjacking that occurred Friday night in the Crystal City neighborhood of Arlington, according to police.

Isaac Anderson, 18, of an unknown address and Dakarai Walker, 20, of D.C. were taken into custody by the Metropolitan Police Department and both are being held in jail in D.C., Arlington County police said Monday.

Shortly before 9 p.m. on Friday, Arlington County police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Richmond Highway in Crystal City for a report of a stolen vehicle. When they arrived, police officers learned that two male victims were getting into their parked vehicle when another vehicle drove up.

The two suspects got out of their sedan, brandished guns, and demanded keys to the victims’ car. The two victims started running, but the suspects chased them and knocked them to the ground and took the vehicle's keys, according to police.

The suspects’ vehicle, a gray sedan, fled the scene followed by the one of the suspects driving the stolen vehicle, police said.

Arlington police officers contacted the MPD in D.C. and provided information about the carjacking. The stolen vehicle was later recovered in D.C., and the two suspects were taken into custody by D.C. police.

Arlington police said they obtained warrants for carjacking, use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and conspiracy to commit a felony for both Anderson and Walker.
