2 Early Morning Burglaries May Be Linked: Arlington County Police
Detectives are investigating two breaking and entry incidents that appear to be linked based on the similarity of suspect descriptions.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police are looking for two suspects in connection to a pair of breaking and entering incidents that occurred early Friday morning.
In the first case, officers responded around 3:10 p.m. for the report of someone breaking into two residential buildings in the 3800 block of 9th Street North and stealing packages, according to police. The thefts occurred between 1:14 a.m. and 1:25 a.m.
Then on Monday, police received a late report of a breaking and entering that also occurred on Friday, but at around 1:45 a.m. at a residential building in the 2100 block of North Westmoreland Street. In this case, two men forced their way into a secured room, where they stole packages, according to police.

In both cases, police described the first suspect as a thin-built Black male, approximately 6-foot to 6-foot-3 in height with facial hair. The second suspect was also described as a thin-built Black male, standing approximately 6-foot to 6-foot-3 in height with facial hair. The two suspects in both cases were reported wearing black sweatshirts, blue jeans and black sneakers, according to police.
"Based on similarities in the reported incidents, detectives will investigate the incidents as a possible series involving the same suspects," Ashley Savage, an ACPD spokeswoman, told Patch on Tuesday. "The investigation is ongoing."
