3 Arrested After Arlington Resident Surprised By Burglars: Police

ARLINGTON, VA -- Three individuals are under arrest after they tried to burglarize a home in Arlington, only to be yelled at by the victim, police say.

Police were called to the 1600 block of S. Arlington Ridge Road at around 2:40 p.m. on March 23 to a report of a burglary, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

"[T]hree male suspects allegedly opened the door to a residence and one entered before the victim yelled to them from another room," the report states. "The suspects then fled the scene on foot. A responding officer detained three suspects matching the victim’s description and they were later positively identified."

Police arrested 26-year-old Jeremiah Jennette of Locust Grove, Va, on charges of marijuana possession, conspiracy to commit burglary, and contribution to the delinquency of a minor.

Police also arrested 21-year-old Jamal Hansen on charges of burglary and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

"Petitions will be sought for the juvenile suspect," the report adds.
