37-Year-Old Man Faces Weapons Charge For Taking Unloaded Handgun: ACPD
Arlington County Police arrested a 32-year-old man they say took an unloaded handgun from a business in the Clarendon area on Tuesday.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police arrested a man they say stole an unloaded handgun from a business in the Clarendon area on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers responded around 12:20 p.m. to a business in the 2600 block of Wilson Boulevard for the report of a larceny that had just occurred, according to the incident report. They determined that a man took the firearm from the business and ran off on foot.
With the help of a police K9, officers searched the area and located the suspect at abandoned property in the 2700 block of Franklin Road, according to police. The firearm was recovered at the scene.

ACPD arrested 33–year-old Ricky Smith of an undetermined address, charging him with grand larceny and unlawful entry, according to authorities.
Smith was arraigned in Arlington General District Court on Wednesday morning and will be back in court on Thursday for a bond hearing, according to court records. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 1. That’s when he’ll face a felony grand larceny charge for taking the firearm and the misdemeanor charge for unlawful entry.
