80 Authors Participating In Local Author Fair At Arlington Libraries

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington Public Library is hosting its inaugural Local Author Fair on Saturday, Nov. 4 at its Central and Columbia Pike libraries, where the public will get a chance to meet more than 80 local authors and purchase their books.

"Celebrate the achievements of our local writers, meet and learn from them, and leave with a few new great reads and gifts!" Arlington Public Library says.

The Local Author Fair begins at the Columbia Pike Library on Nov. 4, where from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., nonfiction authors and poets will be meeting with the public.

The second part of the event will take place at Central Library from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 4, where fiction authors and children and young adult authors will be participating in the fair.

"This is our first time doing it, and we are thrilled by the participant response," Anneliesa Alprin, communications manager for Arlington Public Library, said in a statement.

The public can visit the Arlington Public Library's website to RSVP for the Local Author Fair on Nov. 4. The Columbia Pike Library is located at 816 S. Walter Reed Drive. Central Library is located at 1015 N. Quincy Street.
