Adoptable Arlington Pet: Dory The Pup Loves Snuggles
Meet Dory — a sweet, snuggly rescue pup at The Animal Welfare League of Arlington.
ARLINGTON, VA — If you're thinking about adopting a furry friend, consider a local humane society like the Animal Welfare League of Arlington. The shelter works with private rescue groups and other shelters to place animals where they have the best chance for adoption.
The Animal Welfare League of Arlington rescues dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs, rats and more.
One of these dogs is Dory, a female Terrier and Pit Bull mix who is 8-years-old. Dory is spayed, medium-sized and grey and white.

The description of the adorable Dory says she is a "sensitive softie" who loves resting her head on her humans. Dory is "big into snuggle time" and is "really good at being lazy," but she knows how to sit and loves treats. Dory would benefit from someone who will help her gain confidence, and a reward-based training class so she can learn more.
"Even though I have dog-friends here at the shelter, I'd probably be happiest as the only pet in my new home, as long as I've got my pal by my side, I'm a happy girl," Dory says in her description.
