Adorable Arlington Rescue Dog Can Be Your Valentine

Still need a Valentine? Look no further than this female Coonhound and Bluetick mix who has a heart of gold.

ARLINGTON, VA — There's hardly a better time than Valentine's Day to fall in love with a new puppy. The Animal Welfare League of Arlington has a wide selection of rescue dogs looking for a Valentine this year.

The Animal Welfare League of Arlington works with private rescue groups and other shelters to place animals where they have the best chance for adoption. The shelter rescues dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs, rats and more.

One of these dogs is Ginny, a female Coonhound and Bluetick mix who is almost 2-years-old. Ginny is spayed, medium-sized and black and white.

The description of the adorable Ginny says she is a "country girl with a heart of gold" who is ready to find her new family.

"This hound can be a sensitive softie - so we are looking for someone with a gentle hand who is ready to take some positive training classes to help her build her confidence and find her way in this world," the description says.
