Alexandria Man Dies In Arlington County Crash

Jose T. Villanueva, 31, of Alexandria was transported to George Washington Hospital where he died from his injuries, police said.

ARLINGTON COUNTY, VA — One person has died following a single-car crash in Arlington County.

According to Virginia State Police, just before 1:30 a.m. Friday, officers responded to a collision on the on-ramp from southbound Washington Boulevard to southbound I-395.

A 2014 Chevrolet Camaro was on the ramp when it ran off the left side of the road, struck a curb and overturned, VSP said.

The driver, Jose T. Villanueva, 31, of Alexandria was transported to George Washington Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police said he was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from his car.

Speed and alcohol are being investigated as contributing factors in the crash, police said.
