Amazing Deals At Friends of Arlington Public Library's Fall Book Sale

ARLINGTON, VA — The Friends of Arlington Public Library is making preparations for its fall book sale at Arlington Central Library, where thousands of books, games and puzzles will be for sale.

The book sale will take place Friday, Oct. 27 through Sunday, Oct. 29 in the parking garage at the Central Library at 1015 N. Quincy Street.

Proceeds from the Friends of Arlington Public Library’s book sales support library programs such as the Arlington Reads author series. FOAL also holds a spring book sale.

The public should bring their own bags or boxes. Teachers and librarians with school IDs will get a 50-percente discount on purchases Friday and Saturday, while everyone saves 50 percent on Sunday.

FOAL will be using the G1 floor of the parking garage beginning Oct. 23 and throughout the sale. The public can use G2 and G3 in the parking garage or park in the outdoor lots surrounding Central Library.

On Thursday, Oct. 26, FOAL members will get early access to the book sale as part of a members-only night. The public can visit the FOAL website to complete an application form to join the friends group.

Major credit cards, checks and cash will be accepted at the fall book sale. Here are the book sale's hours:

• Thursday, Oct. 26, 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (members only night)
• Friday, Oct. 27, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (public)
• Saturday, Oct. 28, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (public)
• Sunday, Oct. 29, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (public, half-price day)
