Argument Leads To Bleach Attack In Arlington: Police

Two people who knew each other got into an argument, and then one threw bleach on the other, police say.

ARLINGTON, VA -- Police have arrested an Arlington woman after they say she used bleach to attack someone with whom she was having an argument.

Police were called to the 2100 block of S. Kenmore Street at around 4:36 a.m. on Jan. 20 to a report of a dispute, and found that two people who knew each other had gotten into an argument that had escalated to violence, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

"During the altercation, the suspect allegedly sprayed the victim with bleach before striking the victim with an object," the report states. "The victim was transported to an area hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries."

Police arrested 33-year-old Darcell Harris on charges of malicious wounding and malicious injury by caustic agent, the report notes. She is being held without bond.
