Arlington Makes Decision On Thursday School Schedule
With temperatures expected to take a deep plunge Wednesday night, local schools have made a decision on the school schedule tomorrow.

ARLINGTON, VA -- Arlington school officials have decided to open two hours late on Thursday over concerns about extreme cold in the early morning hours.
"Because of the forecast for severe cold temperatures overnight and in the early morning, APS will open 2 hours late tomorrow, Jan. 31. The delay will provide added time to warm buildings and address any potential mechanical issues with HVAC systems or buses," Arlington Public Schools said in a statement. "The Extended Day program will also open two hours late and morning field trips are canceled. Essential employees and food service workers should report to work at their regularly scheduled time. All other employees should report to work two hours past their usual start time."
Temperatures are expected to drop into the single digits for our area, with the wind chill making it feel below zero.
