Arlington Man Charged For Armed Robbery, Kidnapping In D.C.
An Arlington man was arrested for kidnapping and robbing a victim while armed in Northwest Washington, police said.

ARLINGTON, VA — An Arlington man was arrested for kidnapping and robbing a victim while armed in Northwest Washington, police said.
Goitom Habtemariam, 31, was arrested Monday for the July 20 incident. Police said Habtemariam approached the victim in a parking lot in the 1700 block of 13th St. NW and engaged in a conversation.
Habtemariam then allegedly displayed a knife and ordered the victim to drive to an ATM, police said. The suspect forced the victim to withdraw money from his account, police said. Once the victim complied, Habtemariam fled with his money.
