Arlington Man Runs Entire Beltway In 18 Hours: Report
Arlington marathon runner Mike Wardian reportedly has run all 89 miles of the Capital Beltway in 18 hours.
ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington runner Mike Wardian has just pulled off a pretty incredible feat: he ran the entire length of the Capital Beltway on Saturday, covering 89 miles in 18 hours, according to reports.
Fox 5 DC's Anjali Hemphill tweeted that Wardian and his friends mapped out the entire course from start to finish, and then he started at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, finishing after 7 p.m. that day.
“To be able to run something so iconic is really impactful and something that I’ll cherish for a really long time,” he told WTOP.

Wardian is no stranger to eye-popping running challenges. The 45-year-old is a professional ultra-marathoner, and in 2017 he ran marathons in all seven continents in just seven days, destroying the old record in the process.
