Arlington Schools Settle With DOJ On Translation Services: Report
The Arlington School Board reportedly reached an agreement to improve services to English-learning students.

The Arlington School Board has agreed to provide more services for students learning English throughout the county, according to a report.
ARLnow.com reported that the board had reached a settlement with the Department of Justice. Specifically, the county cannot use Google Translate in place of interpretation services, they must begin translating special education and disability plans, and they must submit annual reports on their progress.
The settlement stemmed from reported problems at Thomas Jefferson Middle School.
