Arlington's Fill The Cruiser Holiday Toy Drive Kicks Off In November

Want to help children enjoy the holiday season? Arlington County Police are holding their eighth annual Fill the Cruiser Holiday Toy Drive.

ARLINGTON, VA — Want to help children enjoy the holiday season? The Arlington County Police Department is holding its eighth annual Fill the Cruiser Holiday Toy Drive starting next month.

Toys collected from the public by the ACPD will be distributed to community organizations throughout the month of December. Those organizations will then provide the toys to children in need in the community.

Arlington County Police will collect new, unwrapped toys for children, ages infant to 17, at these locations:

  • Friday, Nov. 4, Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., 830 23rd Street S.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 9, Arlington Assembly of God, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., 4501 N. Pershing Drive.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 15, Walter Reed Community Center, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., 2909 16th Street S.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 23, Westover Baptist Church, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., 1125 Patrick Henry Drive.
  • Sunday, Dec, 4, Ballston-Virginia Square, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 10th Street N. at N. Pollard Street.
  • Wednesday, Dec. 7, Ballston BID Day, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., 4035 Fairfax Drive.

Community members who wish to donate toys, but cannot attend the Fill the Cruiser events can drop off donations at Arlington County Police Headquarters at 1425 N. Courthouse Road through Friday, Dec. 9 at the 2nd Floor Administrative Support Unit Front Counter. Toys can be dropped off at the headquarters from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
