Signs will be put up on the boundary streets based on Arlington civic association to let residents know the date for each leaf collection. Bright yellow signs will be posted in neighborhoods for the first leaf collection, and bright orange signs will be posted for the second collection date.
Residents should rake leaves to curb the weekend before the posted start of zone collection. Roadways should not be blocked with leaves more than seven days in advance of a scheduled vacuum leaf collection. Residents should remove stones, litter, branches and other debris from leaves to prevent equipment damage and worker injuries. Also, cars should not be parked on leaf piles to avoid cars catching on fire.
