ART Bus Driver Seriously Injured In Assault By Passenger On Columbia Pike: Police
An ART bus driver was assaulted by a passenger Sunday night along Columbia Pike and was taken to the hospital, Arlington police said.
ARLINGTON, VA — An ART bus driver was assaulted by a passenger Sunday night along Columbia Pike and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to the Arlington County Police Department.
At about 10:50 p.m. on Sunday, police were dispatched to the report of an assault on a public transit bus. The bus driver was assaulted by a male who was getting off the bus, according to police.
ARLnow reported Monday that the ART bus driver was bleeding from the mouth when police and medics were dispatched to the scene. The driver was treated by medics at the scene before being transported to the hospital, police said.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Columbia Pike and South Dinwiddie Street. Police said they are investigating the incident and do not know what led to the attack on the bus driver.
The suspect is described as a Black male, wearing a multicolor mask, black jacket and jeans, police said.
