Assaults At 2 Fairfax Hotels Lead To Arlington Man's Arrest
A 25-year-old Arlington man faces sexual assault and other charges for attacks at two Fairfax County hotels, police say.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — A 25-year-old Arlington man faces multiple charges, including aggravated sexual battery, in connection to attacks at two Fairfax County hotels earlier this week, according to police.
Officers from the Fairfax County Police Department responded around 4 a.m. Monday to a hotel in the 6600 block of Arlington Boulevard near Sleepy Hollow, according to the incident report. The victim told police she awoke to find a man in her room exposing himself. When she screamed, the suspect ran away.
Detectives obtained warrants for burglary with intent to commit sexual assault and aggravated sexual battery for Eric Isler, a suspect in the case.

A second attack was reported shortly after midnight on July 22 in the 6500 block of Loisdale Court in Springfield, according to the incident report. The victim reported an unknown man forced his way into his hotel room, assaulted him, and stole items.
During a search of the area, officers located and arrested Isler, who matched the description of the assault suspect, according to police.

After being taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, Isler was served the outstanding warrants for burglary with intent to commit sexual assault and aggravated sexual battery and held without bond.
Isler was arraigned Tuesday morning in Fairfax County General District Court and a preliminary hearing was set for Oct. 20, according to court records.
If convicted on the aggravated sexual battery charge, which is a felony, Isler faces a possible prison sentence of up to 20 years and a fine up to $100,000, under the Code of Virginia.
On the felony intent to commit assault and battery charge, Isler could be sentenced to one to 20 years in prison, or at the discretion of the court or jury hearing the case, be confined in jail for up to 12 months and fined up to $2,500, under Virginia law.
On Jan. 24, Isler was found guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor for assault and battery on a family member in Arlington Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, according to court records. He received a 12-month sentence, which was suspended, and paid court costs of $221.
On Tuesday, Isler was arraigned in Arlington Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for failing to appear in court for a scheduled hearing on July 16, court records say. He has a preliminary hearing set in that case for Oct. 23.
