Bicyclist Attacks Other Bicyclist On Arlington Trail: Police
Police are investigating after they say one bicyclist attacked another on the Custis Trail.

ARLINGTON, VA — A brief discussion between bicyclists on the Custis Trail turned violent late Wednesday afternoon, police say.
Police were called to Fairfax Drive at N. Harrison Street at around 5:10 p.m. on Oct. 9 to a report of a suspicious person, and determined that there had been an attack about 20 minutes before, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.
"[T]he victim and a friend were riding their bikes along the Custis Trail when they had a brief exchange with the suspect who was traveling by bicycle in the opposite direction," the report states. "The suspect later caught up to the victim on the trail, became aggressive and struck the victim’s bike with his tire, before the victim was able to ride away. The suspect again caught up to the victim, attempted to grab his personal belongings, before the victim kicked the suspects’ bicycle and rode away."
