All county schools will be closed Thursday because of hazardous road conditions. Find out what else is closed in the county.

ARLINGTON, VA — All county schools will be closed Thursday because of overnight snow and resulting hazardous road conditions, officials said.
Residents are asked to check the DPR Inclement Weather Tape at 703-228-4715 and email before heading out to their destination, as things may change throughout the day as the weather situation progresses.
Arlington County Government will open at 10 a.m. Parks and Recreation will proceed as follows:

- Congregate meal programs located at Arlington Mill, Langston and Walter Reed are cancelled.
- All Early Childhood Programs (Preschool and Co-ops) are cancelled.
- DPR elementary or teen after school programs are cancelled.
- All Enjoy Arlington classes, 55+ classes, trips and nature center programs are cancelled.
- Sports league activities in APS standalone buildings are cancelled.
- Sports league activities in County facilities will proceed as scheduled based on weather conditions and the status of snow removal.
- Arlington Mill Community Center will open at 10 a.m.
- All other community centers, including joint use facilities located at Carver, Drew, Gunston, Langston and Thomas Jefferson, will open at noon unless their normal operating hours have them opening later.
- Meetings and social events scheduled at the Hendry House at Fort C.F. Smith Park may be held as scheduled if weather conditions and snow removal efforts allow.
- APS Swimming Pools will be closed for Early Bird Swim. APS will update the status of pools after 10 a.m.
