Chicken + Whiskey Plans Grand Opening Celebration In Clarendon

ARLINGTON, VA — Chicken + Whiskey, a rotisserie chicken restaurant and whiskey bar, is holding a grand opening celebration at Clarendon Square in Arlington on Friday, June 16, with food specials, entertainment and raffles prizes.

The public can stop by for lunch and get Chicken + Whiskey’s pollo a la brasa and two sides for $5. Later in the afternoon on June 16, the whiskey bar will serve craft cocktails, beer and whiskeys at happy hour prices until 9 p.m. Customers will get a chance to win prizes, including free chicken for a year, a $150 bar tab, and Chicken + Whiskey swag.

The 5,708-square-foot space can host up to 177 guests, as well as an additional 46 seats on its outdoor patio. Upon entering, customers can visit the chicken joint on the left or the whiskey bar on the right.

The Clarendon Chicken + Whiskey will mark the fourth location for the local chain. In addition to its original location on 14th Street in Washington, D.C., Chicken + Whiskey has locations at The Mall in Columbia, Maryland, and the Ballpark District in D.C.’s Navy Yard.

Chicken + Whiskey is owned by SRG Concepts, a D.C. area restaurant company that also owns the Walrus Oyster & Ale House and doi moi.

At Chicken + Whiskey, the pollo a la brasa menu item is slow cooked over wood charcoal, brined for 12 hours, and served with house-made sauces. The restaurant also offers sangüiches and salads.

The whiskey bar features 99 whiskeys and cocktails. The bar will also offer limited food items, including tajin-spiced chicken wings, arepitas, and pollo a la brasa wraps featuring a nacho-cheese crust. On the weekends, Chicken + Whiskey will also feature DJs playing music.

The new Arlington location of Chicken + Whiskey is at 3033 Wilson Boulevard in Clarendon. Its front door is located on N. Garfield Street.

The kitchen will be open Sunday through Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight.

The bar will be open Sunday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to midnight and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Happy hour will be all day on Monday and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

Parking is available in a surface lot and underground parking garage located at Clarendon Square and accessible from N. Garfield Street. Street parking is also available.
