Fire Out on Potomac Bridge, Tracks Reopen
Fire boats have extinguished the Potomac bridge fire other than hot spots. VRE, CSX and Amtrak trains have all been stopped.

D.C. Fire officials say a fire on the CSX bridge over the Potomac River has been extinguished.
The tracks have been inspected and were reopening to trains.
Firefighters are tackling minor hotspots by pulling water from the river.

The fire was reported after 2:30 p.m. between East Potomac Park and the Virginia side of the river.
Fire officials had stopped all VRE, CSX and Amtrak train traffic heading to the bridge.

According to the Rail Transit OPS Twitter feed, the fire is a brush fire. It says that there are delays for the 303 and 305 trains.
