Deadly Tysons Crash, Pedestrian Killed On Rt. 1: NoVA Morning Traffic

On the Road
A serious crash was reported on VA-7/Leesburg Pike eastbound at VA-123/Chain Bridge Rd. in the Tysons area. Drivers should follow police direction. As of 7:13 a.m., the left lanes are getting by. Two people were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, Fairfax County Police said. Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
On northbound Richmond Hwy/US-1, a serious crash involving a pedestrian was reported at 7:21 a.m. at the Tully Gate/Fort Belvoir. All northbound lanes are blocked. Drivers should follow police direction. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Fairfax County Police said to avoid the area at northbound Richmond Hwy at Rt 286 Fairfax County Parkway.

As of 7:26 a.m., a crash was reported on the northbound side of I-95 before VA-286/Fairfax County Pkwy (#166). The left side is blocked. Two right lanes are getting by.
A disabled truck was reported on the northbound side of I-95 at Lorton (#163) as of 7:09 a.m. The left-center lane is blocked.
An incident was reported at 7:21 a.m. on the northbound I-95 Express Lanes near the Dale City Truck Scales. The left lane is blocked.
In Prince William County, a crash was reported on Balls Ford Rd at 6:51 a.m., affecting traffic in both ways near Notes Dr. Drivers should follow police direction.
On the Rails
On the Metro, Blue Line service is not operating south of Reagan National Airport through Nov. 5 due to Metro's Blue and Yellow Line construction. Shuttle buses and other alternatives are available. There is no Yellow Line service, with Blue and Green Line service replacing Yellow Line service.
Weather
After several days of rainy and cool weather, Thursday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 74, according to forecasts. Thursday night will be mostly clear, with a low temperature around 54.
