ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police are asking the public’s help in locating a suspect in connection to a robbery that occurred Thursday afternoon in the Westmont neighborhood.

Officers responded around 3:55 p.m. for the report of a robbery by force at a business in the 1000 block of S. Glebe Road.

A man entered the business and started talking to an employee, but the conversation quickly escalated into an argument and the man started to become disorderly, according to police.

After assaulting and threatening the employee, then threatened the employee, the man grabbed some merchandise and left the business without paying, according to the incident report. No injuries were reported.

Police described the suspect as a Black man, in his 30s, who stood 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-11 in height. He was wearing a light gray jacket, black pants, black hat, dark-colored scarf and black and white shoes.
