ARLINGTON, VA -- A man was arrested after police say he became furious at being asked to leave an Arlington business and stabbed an employee.

Police were called to the 900 block of N. Pollard Street at around 9:44 a.m. on June 17 to a report of a stabbing, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

"[T]he suspect was inside a business and allegedly became irate when asked to leave by an employee and a verbal dispute ensued," the report states. "As the suspect was exiting the business, he became engaged in a physical altercation with another employee. The suspect produced a knife and swung it at the employee, causing a laceration."

The suspect fled the business before police arrived, but officers were able to find him in the area and took him into custody without incident, according to the report.

The victim was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police charged 40-year-old Gregory Taylor, Jr. with malicious wounding. He is being held without bond.
