Donated Items For Unsheltered People Collected By Arlington Police

Arlington County police are hosting two upcoming events where it will be collecting toiletries and other items for unsheltered people.

ARLINGTON, VA — The Arlington County Police Department is hosting Essentials Drive events at two locations, where it will be collecting toiletries and cold weather items to distribute to homeless people.

The new items that are needed most include toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, socks, backpacks, t-shirts, underwear, pants, jackets, gloves/hats/scarves, and blankets. The clothing items are most needed for men, according to the ACPD.

Items donated by the public on the two dates will be distributed by the ACPD and Arlington County Department of Human Services to those people in need.

Lee Harrison Shopping Center, 2425 N. Harrison Street

Arlington County Police Department, 1425 N. Courthouse Road

  • Wednesday, Oct. 25, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
