ARLINGTON, VA — Girl Scout cookie fans have just under three weeks left to track down a box of their favorite sweet treats before they disappear.

Every year, Girl Scouts sell boxes of cookies to support their troops' community service and activities like camping and travel. Through the sales, Girl Scouts also learn skills like money management, goal setting and business ethics.

In 2022, Girl Scouts of the Nation’s Capital sold 4.1 million boxes of Girl Scout cookies.

"We are thrilled Girl Scouts are able to fund their dreams, thanks to the Girl Scout Cookie program," said Lidia Soto-Harmon, CEO of Girl Scouts of the Nation’s Capital. "We are grateful for all the support each Girl Scout receives from the community."

This year, there are nine types of cookies available for $5 per box: Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Trefoils, Do-si-dos, Lemonades, Lemon-Ups, Toast-Yay and Adventurefuls. Two types of specialty cookies — Girl Scout S’mores and gluten-free Toffee-tastics — are $6 per box.
