Gunfire Erupts In Green Valley, Shots Fired At Bob & Edith's Diner: Police
A shooting was reported Monday night in Arlington's Green Valley neighborhood, and shots were fired at the nearby Bob & Edith's Diner.

ARLINGTON, VA — A shooting was reported Monday night in Arlington’s Green Valley neighborhood, where gunfire was fired from a vehicle, according to police.
A short time after the shooting in the Green Valley neighborhood, gunfire was reported along the 2300 block of Columbia Pike, police said.
Apparent bullet holes were found in the windows of Bob & Edith’s Diner on Columbia Pike, ARLnow reported. No one at Bob & Edith’s was injured, police said.

At about 11:10 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of 22nd Street S. and S. Kenmore Street for the report of shots heard. While police were on scene, a man went to a hospital with gunshot wounds. His condition is considered stable, according to the Arlington County Police Department.
Police said the person who was shot was stopped at a traffic light at 22nd Street S. and S. Kenmore Street when the suspect fired multiple rounds at the victim’s vehicle from a black sedan.

Following the shooting, the victim drove away from the scene, but the suspect followed him and fired additional rounds toward the victim’s vehicle at Columbia Pike and S. Wayne Street, where Bob & Edith's Diner is located, according to police.
The victim was then able to leave the scene and seek medical assistance at a hospital.
A police helicopter conducted an aerial search for the shooter in the Green Valley and Columbia Pike incidents. But the helicopter did not find any suspects, police said.
A day earlier, gunfire was reported overnight Sunday in the Green Valley neighborhood, but no injuries were reported in that shooting, according to ARLnow.
In 2022, there were at least three shootings in Green Valley, ARLnow reported, including a man shot and seriously injured near the Lucky Seven Food Mart on July 6, 2022, a man shot by police after he allegedly walked around the neighborhood firing gunshots at random on Oct. 14, 2022, and a man shot and seriously injured on Nov. 27, 2022.
For Monday night's shootings, officers collected evidence and spoke with witnesses, police said. Residents are asked to review their home surveillance for any video that may assist the ongoing investigation.
