ARLINGTON, VA -- Bad news if you regularly use the George Washington Parkway: the National Park Service plans to narrow the northbound lanes to just one lane for the next six weeks, according to a report.

NBC Washington transportation reporter Adam Tuss tweeted that NPS has told him of the plan, which will take place in lieu of a more permanent solution.

The narrowing will happen just outside of Arlington between Chain Bridge Road and the Beltway, but commuters in Arlington are sure to feel the effects.
