ARLINGTON, VA — Pumpkins and fake spider webs are popping up on Arlington porches, which is a sure sign that Halloween is nearly here.

It looks like trick-or-treaters across Arlington will have a treat from Mother Nature. Summer-like high temperatures will be in the high 70s and approach 80 degrees on several days next week throughout the Baltimore-Washington area, including on Halloween,according to the National Weather Service’s long-range forecast.

Wag-O-Ween Happy Hour on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 4-6 p.m. at Makers Union: 510 14th St. S Suite 65, Arlington.

  • Bring your dogs dressed in their Halloween best for a chance to win prizes in our costume competition! Enjoy dog treats and a happy hour for humans with plenty of photo opportunities to capture the fun. This event promises a joyous celebration for the community and their four-legged companions.

  • Fall Pumpkin Patch – Open now through Nov. 2
  • Water Park Trick-or-Treat (Oct. 31) – Enjoy trick-or-treating at each kiosk, along with face painting, a photo booth, a balloon artist, pumpkin painting, and more! Plus, adults can indulge in spooky drink specials.
  • Day of the Dead Celebration (Nov. 1) – Enjoy face painting, a photo booth, and a live Rastafarian music group from 4-8 p.m.

Spooktacular Halloween Adventure takes place Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10:30 -12:30 p.m., at The Village at Shirlington on Campbell Avenue. Tickets are $5 per child. Come dressed up in your spookiest or most creative costume and enjoy a fun morning of lively entertainment, exciting treats, and lasting memories.

Tickets are required for each child, with proceeds going directly to benefitting the Arlington Food Assistance Center. The AFAC is on a mission to feed our neighbors in need in Arlington, Virginia by providing dignified access to nutritious supplemental groceries.
