I-395 HOT Lanes Coming To Arlington Soon: Report
The high-occupancy toll (HOT) lanes reportedly will open in October, and E-ZPass readers are already going up.

ARLINGTON, VA -- Get ready, Arlington drivers: high-occupancy toll lanes on Interstate 395 are just a few months away from opening, and E-ZPass readers are already going up.
The Washington Post reports that the HOT lanes are on track for an October opening, and over the weekend crews began installing toll technology along the corridor.
Although the E-ZPass infrastructure will be erected, drivers won't be charged until it officially opens in October.

The construction is taking place over an eight-mile stretch of I-395 as HOV lanes are converted into toll lanes. The project cost $480 million and will be part of Virginia's effort to build more than 90 miles of HOT lanes in Northern Virginia by 2022, according to the Post.
