Ice Rink At Westpost In Arlington Set To Open For Winter Season

ARLINGTON, VA — With November around the corner, the ice rink at Westpost, formerly known as Pentagon Row, in Arlington is planning its winter 2022-23 opening for skaters.

The 6,840-square-foot ice rink in the Pentagon City area is the largest outdoor rink in Northern Virginia and the second largest in the state. It features an outdoor dual-sided stone fireplace for lounging during skating breaks.

The rink will be opening for the 2022-23 winter season on Tuesday, Nov. 1

The rink’s reservation website to purchase tickets and schedule a skate is expected to be up and running next week. Reservations, which are required to skate, will be open two weeks in advance during the winter.

Non-skaters who wish to enter the fenced rink area are required to pay admission and need to make a reservation. Skating guests under the age of 12 may have one parent or guardian accompany them.

The rink offers a high level of cleanliness to the facility and equipment including: skates, skater aids, and other high touch surfaces.

The admission pricing at the Westpost ice rink is:

• 13 years and older: $11
• 12 years and under: $10
• Senior Citizens: $10
• Skate Rentals: $5

Skaters should arrive within 10 minutes of their scheduled reservation time. If the skater is more than 10 minutes late, their reservation will automatically be canceled.

Ice skating tickets are valid for up to one hour. The rink is open every day until mid-March during these hours:

• Sunday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Monday: Noon to 10 p.m.
• Tuesday: Noon to 10 p.m.
• Wednesday: Noon to 10 p.m.
• Thursday: Noon to 10 p.m.
• Friday: Noon to 11 p.m.
• Saturday: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

2022 Holiday Hours

• Thanksgiving Day: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• Christmas Eve: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• Christmas Day: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• Dec. 26-30: 10 a.m. to 11p.m.
• New Year's Eve: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• New Year's Day: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
