IKEA Arlington Hosting Free Housewarming Party With Giveaways, Food
The public will get tours of the new Arlington IKEA store in Pentagon City on Wednesday, along with giveaways and free food and drinks.

ARLINGTON, VA — IKEA is hosting a housewarming party at its new "plan and order point" store in Pentagon City in Arlington on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The new IKEA store is the first of its kind in the Washington, D.C., area.
The event will kick off with remarks from Raquel Ely, IKEA U.S. Market Manager, followed by Christian Dorsey, Arlington County Board chair, presenting IKEA with a Key to the County. The opening remarks will be followed by tours of the new space, giveaways, and free food and drinks.
The first 25 IKEA Family members will receive a $50 IKEA gift card, and the first 100 IKEA Family members will receive a free FRAKTA bag.

The IKEA Arlington Plan and order point is located in the Pentagon Centre shopping center at 1201 S. Hayes Street in Arlington.

The new store provides inspiration and ideas for the home and offer customers one-on-one consultation services for kitchen design, bedroom and bathroom ideas, small space living recommendations and other services. Customers can schedule in-person appointments through the IKEA Arlington local store page.
IKEA has been on the outskirts of the D.C. area for more than 35 years, with large-format IKEA stores in Woodbridge and College Park, Maryland. IKEA has already opened plan and order point stores in Europe and Canada. The Arlington location is among the first in the U.S.
