Intoxicated Man Forced Out Of Green Valley Home: ACPD
An Arlington man is facing multiple charges after two people forced him out of a Green Valley home on Monday night, police say.
ARLINGTON, VA — A 42-year-old Arlington man is facing multiple charges after being forced out of a Green Valley home on Tuesday evening, according to Arlington County Police.
Officers responded around 7:22 p.m. for the report of a suspicious person at a residence in the 3200 block of 24th Street South, according to the incident report.
The person who contacted police told officers that she heard a noise and encountered an unknown man in her home, according to the police report. A struggle ensued as the woman and a juvenile witness forced the man out of the home.

Police located the suspect nearby, identifying him as William Whitted, according to ACPD. During the earlier scuffle, he received minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation.
Once Whitted was cleared, police arrested and cited him for burglary and public intoxication, according to police .He was then held without bond.

Whitted was scheduled to be arraigned in Arlington General District Court at 9 a.m. on Thursday, according to court records.
Whitted is facing two charges, breaking and entering an occupied house and public intoxication. The first charge is a Class 6 felony, which carries a potential prison sentence of one to five years, or at the court's discretion, up to 12 months in jail and a fine not exceeding $2,500, under the Code of Virginia.
The public intoxication charge is a Class 4 misdemeanor. If convicted, Whitted faces a possible fine of $250, according to Virginia.
