Juveniles In Custody After Running From Stolen Car Stopped In Rosslyn

After a vehicle reported stolen was stopped in Rosslyn, four juveniles ran from the vehicle but were later taken into custody, police said.

ARLINGTON, VA — Four juveniles in a vehicle reported stolen from Fairfax County were taken into custody in Rosslyn Thursday afternoon after they ran from the vehicle when Arlington County police conducted a traffic stop, according to police.

Shortly after 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, Arlington police stopped the vehicle near the corner of N. Quinn Street and Wilson Boulevard next to H-B Woodlawn school in Rosslyn. Several police vehicles arrived to help with the pursuit, according to an eyewitness.

At least one of the juveniles ran from N. Quinn Street down Wilson Boulevard and then headed south on N. Quinn Street toward Clarendon Boulevard, the eyewitness said.

In their foot pursuit, Arlington police officers were able to take all four juveniles into custody, police said. During a search of the driver, police recovered a firearm, the ACPD said.

Petitions related to the incident against the four juvenile suspects are pending, police said Friday.
