La Coop Coffee To Celebrate Grand Opening Of New Arlington Location
A D.C. coffee shop is opening a new location in the Arlington Forest neighborhood, with plans for a grand opening celebration on Saturday.
ARLINGTON, VA — A D.C. area coffee shop is opening a new location in the Arlington Forest neighborhood, with plans for a grand opening celebration on Saturday.
La Coop Coffee Co. found a space at the Arlington Forest Shopping Center on Arlington Blvd. and 1st Street N., where it decided to open its second location in the D.C. area.
“Join us for the grand opening of our Arlington location on Saturday, February 11th starting at 8 AM!” La Coop Coffee says on its Instagram page.

La Coop opened its first location in Washington, D.C. in July 2020. The company also sells coffee at regional farmers’ markets, including the Lubber Run Farmers Market, ARLnow reported in January.

When a space opened at the Arlington Forest Shopping Center, neighbors informed La Coop’s owners about the availability, co-owner Juan Luis Salazar Cano told ARLnow.
The company's D.C. location is located in the Brightwood Park neighborhood at 5505 1st St NW.
On its website, La Coop says it is a family-owned and operated business "from the beginning of the value chain in Union Cantinil, Huehuetenango, Guatemala, to the end, in Washington, D.C."
