Laundry Room Chaos Results In Hospitalizations In Arlington: Cops

Police are looking for three suspects who they say assaulted two victims in a laundry room.

ARLINGTON, VA -- Police are searching for three suspects after a chaotic scene in a Ballston apartment building's laundry room that resulted in two people being taken to the hospital.

Police were called to the 4300 block of Henderson Road at around 4:50 a.m. on Saturday to a report of an assault, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

"[T]he two victims had been drinking in the laundry room of a residential building when one stepped outside," the report states. "When he reentered the building, he was followed by three unknown suspects, who assaulted him in the stairwell. The victim was able to free himself and head back to the laundry room where the victims attempted to hold the door shut to prevent the suspects from entering the room."

The three suspects overpowered them and assaulted the victims, stealing their personal belongings and some cash and then fleeing before police arrived, the report adds.

Police say the victims had minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

A resident who heard the attacks opened her apartment door and was shoved by one of the suspects as they fled, the report notes.

Police searched the area, but did not find anyone.

Police described the suspects as follows: "three black males, approximately 6’0”, with skinny, slim builds. Two suspects were wearing all black and one suspect was wearing a gray sweatshirt under a black jacket with the hood up."
