The Marine Corps Marathon will lead to road closures in Rosslyn and Crystal City on Sunday, as well as around the National Mall in D.C.
ARLINGTON, VA — The 47th annual Marine Corps Marathon is almost here, so that means residents should prepare for lots of detours and road closures in the Rosslyn and Crystal City neighborhoods of Arlington, as well as around the National Mall in D.C. on Sunday.
This is the first time the Marathon Corps Marathon has been run in person since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, runners will head to the starting line in Pentagon City rather than in Rosslyn as in previous races. The finish festival remains in Rosslyn, near the Marine Corps War Memorial.
At about 4 p.m. on Saturday, southbound Route 110 will be closed from Washington Boulevard to Route 1 and will reopen at 5 p.m. on Sunday. Others parts of Route 110 closer to Rosslyn will close early Sunday morning. Langston Blvd. from Rosslyn to Spout Run Parkway will be closed from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.
