Malicious Wounding Charges Levied Against 2 Arlington Men: Police
Arlington County Police arrested two men they say were involved in two separate altercations in which the victims needed medical care.

ARLINGTON, VA — Two Arlington men are each facing malicious wounding charges in connection with two recent assaults, according to Arlington County Police.
In the first case, officers were dispatched around 8:46 p.m., on Friday to a business in the 1200 block of Fort Myer Drive. A preliminary investigation revealed that during an argument between two men inside the business, one of the men struck the other, according to police.
Emergency medical personnel treated the victim at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries. He was then released, according to police.

The officers who responded to the original dispatch arrested the suspect, who was identified as 39-year-old Carlos Cordero-Florian, and charged him with malicious wounding and public intoxication, according to police.
In the second case, officers responded around 8:02 a.m. to a residential building in the 2900 block of S. Glebe Road for the report of a stabbing. Investigators determined that during a physical altercation between two men, one of the men cut the other with a knife and then fled the scene, according to ACPD.

Officers administered first aid to the victim until EMS personnel were able to take him to a nearby hospital to be treated for serious injuries, according to the incident report.
Police arrested the suspect, who was identified as 50-year-old Richard Hamilton, at his home, charging him with malicious wounding, according to the report. Both he and Cordero-Florian were held without bond.
