Man With Knife Tries, Fails To Steal Vehicle From Green Valley Area
Arlington County Police are looking for a suspect who tried to steal a vehicle from a Green Valley parking garage on Friday afternoon.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police are looking for a suspect with a knife who tried to steal a vehicle parked in the Green Valley area on Friday afternoon, according to the incident report.
Officers responded around 2:43 p.m. for the report of an armed robbery in a parking garage in the 2600 block of Shirlington Road. The victim told police that a man approached him, showed that he had a knife and demanded the keys for the victim’s vehicle, according to police.
Keys in hand, the suspect tried and failed to start the vehicle. He then fled the area in a black sedan, according to police. No injuries were reported.

Police described the suspect as a Black male, about 18-22 years old, who stood 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 in height and weighed around 140-150 pounds. He had black hair and was wearing all black clothing.
