Man Sexually Assaults Woman In Arlington Eatery's Freezer: Police

ARLINGTON, VA -- Police are asking for any additional victims to come forward after arresting a man who they say cornered a woman in an Arlington restaurant's walk-in freezer and sexually assaulted her.

Police arrested 25-year-old Duglas Santos of Arlington on charges of abduction, object sexual penetration, and sexual battery, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department. He is being held without bond.

Police were called to the 3000 block of Clarendon Boulevard at 11:46 p.m. May 4 to a late report of an assault inside a restaurant there.

"Upon arrival, it was determined that the female victim was cornered by the known male suspect inside a walk-in freezer, preventing her from leaving the area," the report states. "The suspect then allegedly inappropriately touched and sexually assaulted the victim before fleeing the scene. Officers conducted surveillance in the area and took the suspect into custody the following day when he returned to work at the restaurant."

Police believe he has held positions at restaurants throughout Arlington and it is possible that there were similar incidents, the report states.
