Man Suffers Serious Injuries In Shooting On Columbia Pike: Police

A man was shot early Saturday morning near the corner of Columbia Pike and S. Walter Reed Drive, according to the Arlington County Police.

ARLINGTON, VA — A man was shot early Saturday morning near the corner of Columbia Pike and S. Walter Reed Drive, according to the Arlington County Police Department. The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.

The shooting happened just before 1 a.m. in front of Caspi, a restaurant and lounge, next to the Arlington Cinema Drafthouse, ARLnow reported Saturday.

Citing scanner traffic, ARLnow said the man was shot multiple times, and that a dark-colored Audi or BMW was seen speeding away from the scene of the shooting. Caspi was hit by at least one bullet, but no one inside was injured, according to ARLnow.

The shooting comes after a man was injured Monday night in a shooting in the Green Valley neighborhood, about a mile south of Saturday morning’s incident. In Monday night's incident, gunshots were fired from a vehicle in the area of 22nd Street S. and S. Kenmore Street.

A short time after the shooting in Green Valley, the suspect reportedly shot at the same victim on Columbia Pike in front of Bob & Edith’s Diner. No one at Bob & Edith’s was injured in that incident. Police are still investigating and looking for the suspect in Monday night's shooting.
