Man Trashes 2 Crystal City Businesses: Police
Police arrested a man after they say he caused chaos at two different Crystal City businesses.

ARLINGTON, VA --A man faces multiple charges of robbery after entering two different businesses in Crystal City and then causing chaos by destroying merchandise, threatening employees, and stealing, police say.
Police were first called to the 1800 block of Jefferson Davis Highway at around 1:46 a.m. on June 16 to a report of a disorderly person, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.
"[T]he suspect allegedly entered the business and began acting disorderly and tampering with items," the report states. "When an employee approached him, he produced a knife, and demanded cash. The suspect then stole an undisclosed amount of cash and continued to tamper with and damage items inside the business before fleeing prior to police arrival."

About a half hour later, police were dispatched to the report of a disorderly person in the 400 block of 23rd Street.
"[T]he suspect allegedly entered a business, went behind the counter and began throwing merchandise," the report states. "When confronted by an employee, the suspect became irate and threatened the employee, before grabbing merchandise and fleeing the scene prior to police arrival."

Officers were already searching the area for the suspect in the first robbery case, and they believe that it was the same individual. Police arrested 41-year-old Christopher Uglialoro on charges of robbery.
