Martin Luther King Day 2019 In Arlington: What's Open, Closed
Martin Luther King Day on Jan. 21 is a federal holiday. Here's what will be open and what will be closed in our area on that day.

ARLINGTON, VA -- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. forever shaped the American landscape as the most prominent leader of the civil rights movement. The memory of King, who was killed by an assassin's bullet in 1968, is honored on Monday, Jan. 21 (he was born Jan. 15) with a federal holiday.
But just what is open and what is closed in our area on MLK Day? Here's a quick breakdown to help you out, via Arlington County:
Arlington County Government offices, courts, libraries & facilities will be closed on Jan. 21, 2019 for Martin Luther King, Jr.,’s birthday. NOTE: Commonwealth of Virginia offices (including Courts & DMVs) will be closed Friday Jan. 18, 2019 for Lee-Jackson Day.
