Masked Suspect Steals Woman's Purse In Arlington: Police

ARLINGTON, VA — Police are searching for a masked suspect who stole a women's purse Monday evening. At about 6:07 p.m., a masked man approached a woman from behind in the 5500 block of Lee Highway as she walked from her car to her home. The man allegedly demanded the victim's possessions, grabbed her arm and stole her purse. He then fled on foot.

A K-9 track yielded negative results, police said. Police describe the suspect as a black male, about 6-feet tall with a medium build who is in his 20’s or 30’s. He has long black dreadlocks and was last seen with a black backpack.

The investigation is ongoing.
